Chapel, Nave Island, Islay
To the right of the chapel a gully is visible. According to Canmore, this is known as Sloc na Maoile, (gully of the rounded hill). It is a 'perpendicular-sided gully about 6m in average width, created by the erosion of a basalt dyke.' It made accessing the trigpoint (not visible on this photo) a little more interesting, but in no way impossible - in fact our oldest passenger had little trouble at age 87!
