The Torrs Millennium Walkway
The Torrs Millennium Walkway
In the Torrs Riverside Park, the spectacular walkway was a Millennium Commission project built in 1999 along an otherwise inaccessible cliff wall above the River Goyt. Stan Brewster, one of the lead engineers on the project, was killed in the London bombings of 7th July 2005. Stan is remembered on a commemorative plaque on the bridge SJ9985 : Stan Brewster 1953-2005
