Former Spikers Hill Quarry
Former Spikers Hill Quarry
The footpath shown in SE9785 : Footpath Yedmandale Woods emerges on Cockrah Road via a track serving the disused Spikers Hill Quarry. The trees on the horizon are along side Cockrah Road which the quarry came close to. Calcareous gritstone was quarried, latterly for road stone.
