Hyde Park, London
Hyde Park, London
The centre-piece of The Diana, Princess of Wales' Memorial Playground, that was opened in June 2000. This children's play area is approximately 200 metres inside the north-west corner of the park near the Bayswater Road boundary fence and a 10 minutes walk from Kensington Palace, the late Princess's home. This picture was taken at 10.02 a.m., immediately after the entrance gates had been opened at the start of the day. Entrance to the playground is free of charge and as a result, because it has a capacity of 450 persons, 30-90 minute admission queues are not uncommon.
