Ruins of the Guard Tower, Old Mulgrave Castle
Now romanticised, the original Mulgrave Castle was constructed around 1214 and has served as a prison, and a base for widespread poaching and cattle raiding and has been used as a hunting lodge. It was twice besieged during the Civil War and blown up.
