Seen as she heads up the Hope, bound for the Tall Ships Regatta at Greenwich.

The ship was built in Germany in 1911, as a schooner, originally known as the 'Friedrich'. After a period as a motor vessel she was re-rigged as a brigantine at Faversham in the 1970's. She is by no means a big ship: Wiki gives her length overall as 40m (132ft) but I'd guess her length-on-deck could be 25ft shorter. LinkExternal link

This was the first opportunity I'd had to see Eye of the Wind, having missed the chance when
my step-sister sailed in her as a teenage trainee on a North Atlantic crossing.
