Weathervane, Newark Park, Ozleworth, Gloucestershire
The weathervane is 16th century but was restored and re-gilded at the behest of the tenant of Newark Park, Robert Parsons, some time during his tenancy between 1971 and 2000 when he died. The nation's thanks are due to the late Mr Parsons as, were it not for him, the place would probably be a complete ruin, The National Trust almost having given up on the place by the late 1960s.
