England - Scotland Border above Bells Burn
England - Scotland Border above Bells Burn
The Border follows the wall over Bells Rig.

James Logan Mack (1926) considered that close to here the Border was marked by a trench constructed alongside the old drove road that may have climbed the same ridge, and which was at a later date augmented by the building of the stone wall. The drove road is probably a continuation of the old track, and modern footpath, that mounts the slope above Bells Chapel NY6194 : Old track above site of Bells Chapel
