Gulden Leeuw (Dutch for "Golden Lion") was built in 1937 on behalf of the Danish Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. She was designed and built as an ice class ship and frequently used for marine biological research. Recently converted into a three-masted schooner, she has a large dining room and bar.
