An Inland Beach in Loch Brora, Sutherland
An Inland Beach in Loch Brora, Sutherland
This long, thin, inland beach (known as a spit) has formed at the head of Loch Brora, where the River Brora enters the Loch and slows down, depositing sand. The spit is part of an island, where the river splits in two. To the right of the spit is the river Brora; to the left is the Loch.
