SD6149 : Climbing out of Bleadale

taken 3 years ago, 3 km from Sykes, Lancashire, Great Britain

Climbing out of Bleadale
Climbing out of Bleadale
A good footpath climbs out of the deep trench of Bleadale. It was probably constructed many years ago for shooters walking up onto Hareden Fell. Nowadays, they are largely too idle to walk far, preferring to be driven up the landrover track in Hareden. Their loss, but our gain.
