TF1033 : A fine tilth

taken 3 years ago, near to Billingborough, Lincolnshire, Great Britain

A fine tilth
A fine tilth
The other fields in the area are of a heavy clay, have been disc'd into a tilth with lumps about 30 to 60mm across, with some straw incorporation. This little patch is of fine aluvial soil, and has been differently prepared, giving a very fine tilth with pieces no more than 10 or 15mm in size, graded carefully to drain down into the stream, and it also looks as though it has been raked.
