Lady Street, Lavenham
Lady Street, Lavenham
Lavenham is known by a variety of names, including 'England's finest medieval town'. This view is from the corner of Water Lane looking into Lady Street. Lady Street is really 'Our Lady Street' and takes its name from the Guild of Our Lady which is now the Wool Hall, seen on the left here. It was earlier known as Master John's Street and Baber Street. The house on the right was once a Tudor shop.
