taken 3 years ago, near to Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire/Sir Gaerfyrddin, Great Britain

A fine defensive site
A fine defensive site
One of the drum towers of the outer defences of Kidwelly Castle built on top of a steep rise overlooking the tidal Gwendraeth Fach river. Here supplies could be brought in by boat, and if the native Welsh became too troublesome, escape could be made seawards.
