Late 15th century dining room at the Angel & Royal LinkExternal link one of the most ancient and grandest coaching inns in England in the heart of Grantham on the old Great North Road. The current Angel & Royal has a late 15th Century fašade LinkExternal link on an inn that has been here since the 13th century when the Knights Templar and later the Knights Hospitaller provided accommodation for travellers. Known as The Angel until 1866 when the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) stayed there and thereafter afforded the Royal suffix.
