Corlan, Garreg Fawr 3
A view of the central space of the sheepfold (corlan). The construction of the walls is intricate and of high quality, notwithstanding the fact that the structure has fallen into disrepair. The steal-holes that allowed the sheep into and out (at the far ends) of the separate chambers can be seen clearly, and some retain their improvised doors. It is notable that scrap steel screens from the rock crushing and sorting plant of Penmaenmwar quarries have been employed here - excellent improvisation.
