A mix of reeds, sedges, heather and willow fill the area between the camera and the lake. This seems an unusual site for a lake and bog as much of the surrounding area is of carboniferous limestone. Here there is a shallow bowl in the hills, most likely filled with glacial drift, on which the bog land has formed.
