The churchyard has a good number of table tombs, testament to the wealth in the area in times past. The church itself is of considerable interest because of the changes that have taken place over the five hundred plus years since a church was first built on the site. Slightly to the left of centre is the 17th century 'Cottage' annexe, presumably so named because it looks just as if a dwelling house has been crowbarred onto the church proper.
