Steart Marshes Project , first flooding
Steart Marshes Project , first flooding
The Steart Marshes Project excavations have been virtually completed and the final work at the planned site of breaching the sea wall finished. The September Spring tides were due to start the flooding of the excavations and the evening tide of 8/9/14 was the first significant flooding. This and following pictures show the start of the process and how the flooding progressed.
