TQ5179 : Cranes on Conway's Jetty, Erith

Cranes on Conway's Jetty, Erith
Conway's new asphalt plant opened later in 2011. Their publicity boasted of a 'completely new Thames-side Jetty'. This view appears to be mainly of the old jetty, which was being used to construct the new one. The new jetty head was built immediately in front of the old one with a new approach from the shore. The columns for the new jetty head appear to be in place, with no deck as yet, except under the cranes.
