taken 3 years ago, 3 km from East Ayton, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Seamer Beacon from Irton Moor
Seamer Beacon from Irton Moor
The tree covered hill of Seamer Beacon viewed from a public footpath which runs out onto Irton Moor. Seamer Beacon is described in TA0087 : Seamer Beacon. The nearer hillock with a single tree is Hagworm Hill, site of a type of round barrow known as a bowl barrow which in this case was excavated in the 19th century. In the background are modern communications masts. Seamer and Irton Moors are now largely arable land with grazing on features such as Hagworm Hill
