Taken facing the main Oldham-Manchester railway line as it runs over the viaduct through Clayton Bridge to Newton Heath. In view are some of the animals' pens and a storage barn (and the cosy loo . . . ) Usually there would be more cats about but on this day they wisely stayed where it was warmer. This is a small independent animal shelter (reg. Charity No. 702953).
