SP2545 : The new Halford Bridge

taken 3 years ago, near to Halford, Warwickshire, Great Britain

The new Halford Bridge
The new Halford Bridge
This bridge carries the Fosse Way (here the A429) across the River Stour, and is seen from the old (early 17th century) bridge.

In retrospect it is a shame that a short (about 1 mile) bypass was not built at the same time, as the attractive village of Halford is bisected by this busy road. It is probably a bit late now, as the new bridge isn't in the right place!
