Muddy Curlew, Titchwell
Numenius arquata - The beak is long but this curlew was obviously prepared to go a little deeper to find a tasty snack in the mud of Volunteer Marsh. They eat worms, shellfish and shrimps. At 50-60cm, the curlew is our largest breeding wader.
