Alison Hall, No.32 St Augustine's Gate, was opened on 10th December 1931 and was named in honour of Mrs Alison Todd the then President of the local Women’s Institute. The building continues to host Hedon Women's Institute. Between March 2010 and January 2014, it was also occupied by the Alison Hall Restaurant and Bar. The historic Alison Hall grille bearing the WI motto now hangs outside Hedon Museum.
