View from Issues Edge
Issues Edge is so called because it is a watershed for very many springs.
My route takes me to Black Hill and the Pennine Way, but according to the map, and the Tourist Information office there is no path, from Holme, linking this one to the Pennine Way. Local knowledge prevailed and when I asked advice I was kindly given an escort as far as Issues Clough, at the bottom of the Edge, where I stubbornly chose to take the direct route up the Edge "You have been warned" said my kind companion as I bid him goodbye...
Here I mercifully above the bracken line, but am now knee deep in bilberry bushes and bits of bog, much to the amusement of the local grouse population.
But the view is pretty good.
