Stockport Number 5, Heaton Park Tramway Museum
Owned by the Stockport 5 Tramway Trust, number 5 is the sole survivor of Stockport Corporationís tram fleet. It was delivered in 1901 and worked at Stockport until withdrawn in 1948 (LinkExternal link ).

The tram was fully restored in 1996 and moved to Blackpool where it saw limited use before going to Doncaster in 2002 to help the town celebrate 100 years of public transport after which, it was returned to Blackpool. It was moved to the Heaton Park Tramway Museum in 2011. Following restoration over the winter of 2012, 5 was relaunched in March 2013, complete with period-style adverts LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) .

Heaton Park Tramway
The Heaton Park Tramway (LinkExternal link ) is a heritage tramway operating vintage trams as a visitor attraction within the Park. It is operated by the Manchester Transport Museum Society.

The Heaton Park Tramway was officially opened in 1980. The trams originally ran on the old Manchester Corporation Tramways spur from Middleton Road to the old tram shelter some 300 yards (270 m) inside the park. This has since been extended, by the use of track salvaged from elsewhere, to a new terminus near to the Boating Lake. The old tram shelter was also restored to form the centre of the society's operations.

The tramway currently (2015) has an operating fleet of 7 electric trams and one horse tram with several others in store or undergoing restoration LinkExternal link .
