Dolbelydr
Dolbelydr
Stone-built 16th century manor house where Henry Salesbury wrote his Grammatica Britannica, one of the first attempts to impose formal grammar on the Welsh language. The house dates from 1578 and was inhabited until about 1912 then it fell to ruin. Acquired by the Landmark Trust in 1999, it has been painstakingly restored and is now available for holiday lets.
