NS2474 : Burn flowing past Ravens Craig

taken 3 years ago, near to Chrisswell, Inverclyde, Great Britain

Burn flowing past Ravens Craig
Burn flowing past Ravens Craig
The picture was taken from the path beside the Greenock Cut. The burn flows past a crag, called Ravens Craig, about 170 metres ahead; it is to the right (north-east) of the burn, but not visible in this view because of the vegetation. This is perhaps the feature that gave rise to the name Ravenscraig, which the map applies to an area further to the north-east, in NS2575.

This burn eventually flows into the Spango Burn. The houses in the background are on the far side of Spango Valley, at Braeside and Drumillan Hill (NS2374 : Drumillan Hill housing estate).
