Draper Bridge near Bearley, Warwickshire
Bridge No 57 crosses the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal. It is an accommodation bridge which also carries a little used public footpath. There is no towpath under the bridge. By cunningly having a small split in the middle, the horse could continue while the rope was passed through the split. On many of these typical Stratford Canal bridges the split has been covered over. This one still exists, just.
