NY7605 : Railway bridge over minor road

taken 10 years ago, near to Nateby, Cumbria, England

Railway bridge over minor road
Railway bridge over minor road
The bridge is on the route of the Settle to Carlisle Railway and is a deceptively magnificent piece of Victorian building. Being a skew bridge its length is far greater than a direct passage would be and the stonework within is on a massive scale for the relatively trivial nature of the crossing.
