taken 10 years ago, near to Beauly, Highland, Scotland

Power line access
Power line access
Viewed here from the side of the A862, just south of Beauly - this timber roadway has been constructed to allow access to the works of erecting a double circuit 400kv overhead transmission line. The line will run for 200km from an extended Beauly substation to Warry Burn near Stirling, and will be carried on approximately 530 steel lattice pylons.
