The A5 at High Cross
High Cross is the name given to the crossroads of the Roman roads of Watling Street and the Fosse Way. It was the site of a Roman fort known as Venonis.
The A5 follows the route of Watling Street, the B4455 follows the route of the Fosse Way, which heads off to the left.
