St Peter's church, West Firle, East Sussex
A mainly 13th century church, with a heavily buttressed tower. It stands within the estate of Firle Place, the family seat of the 8th Viscount Gage whose ancestors have held the manor since the 15th century. Within the church are several memorials to the family, notably the tomb in the North aisle chapel to Sir John Gage who died in 1556, and his wife Philippa.
