TL0083 : Church path

taken 3 years ago, near to Wadenhoe, Northamptonshire, Great Britain

Church path
Church path
Path to St.Michael & All Angels church, ascending a hill above the River Nene and village - a Scheduled Ancient Monument and site of a late Anglo-Saxon or early Medieval fortified manorial complex. The hill is probably the origin of the village name .... 'hoh' meaning promontory of an Anglo-Saxon leader called Wadda.
