Wollaton Road: the site of Radford Station
Wollaton Road: the site of Radford Station
Until passenger services to Mansfield and Worksop were withdrawn in October 1964 (I was on the last train), trains stopped at Radford. The station building stood at the crest of the bridge, where the railings show between the two vans, and there were covered staircases down to the two platforms. There is now nothing to indicate there was ever a railway station here.
