SH7075 : Winding house (south)

taken 3 years ago, near to Penmaenmawr, Conwy, Great Britain

Winding house (south)
Winding house (south)
More modern re-construction is in evidence for this winding house at the level of the East Quarry. Not only is the construction in reinforced concrete, but a vestigial brick-built shelter has been provided for the brakesman. This shelter matches that which was provided at Bonc Jolly for the incline to the Penmaen jetty. A large rock fall can be seen at the right of the image.
