The present building is largely a re-building of c1910, but stands on the site of England's oldest mill, built in 1702, and the tower is a survival of a second mill of 1717. Grade II listed.
Now a museum of local history and industry.
On the left are fine C18th gates (SK3536 : Gates, Full Street, Derby).
