Natural Ladder
Natural Ladder
Not that it's big enough to be any use, but the ladder-like form of this vertical feature is the result of the rock being stretched. The central layer of rock is very rigid, so did not shear, but cracked into blocks. The cracks were then infilled by quartz from fluids circulating in the rock. Geological hammer for scale.
