The grounds of Birmingham Cathedral
The approach from the south eastern corner of the cathedral grounds is dominated by Burnaby's Obelisk - unveiled in 1885 - in memory of an eccentric Victorian adventurer. He was killed at the battle of Abu Klea on 17th January 1885.
