A building of some nobility, designed by Robert Wallace, 1837 (altered by James Thomson in 1850 - the ground floor perhaps). The frieze is inscribed, "Derby and Derbyshire Banking Company Ltd", above which is an elaborate "heraldic device" (SK3536 : Detail of 20-21 Cornmarket, Derby). Grade II listed.
Currently occupied by the Book Cafe.
