Dover Harbour and breakwater
Dover Harbour and breakwater
A P&O ferry enters Dover Harbour through the breakwater. Dover was once a natural harbour formed by the estuary of the River Dour the site of the original harbour is now the town centre! The modern harbour only exists because of the breakwater which has been built to protect its exposed site below the cliffs.
