Glacial erratic boulder
Glacial erratic boulder
Nant Anafon is a spectacularly glaciated valley with a rich legacy of glacially-transported materials. Here the valley opens out below Foel Dduarth and fertile, level fields are enclosed. A very large erratic boulder is found just outside the enclosure of Hafod Garth Celyn. It is apparently composed of rhyolite, and is very elongate, so has probably not been carried far.
