Holes a few feet above the ground in the north inner wall of the original bridge here – i.e. the tramroad bridge, as opposed to the later-built railway bridge (see LinkExternal link ). Holes are also to be seen in the opposite, south inner wall. On the British Listed Buildings website it is noted that the holes were for a ‘wooden construction framework’.
