TQ9793 : Geese on the scrape

taken 3 years ago, 3 km from Churchend, Essex, Great Britain

Geese on the scrape
Geese on the scrape
Land-shaping proceeds apace on Wallasea Island as the RSPB's Wild Coast Project continues to import and redistribute material excavated from Crossrail tunnels. A number of shallow rain-water scrapes have been made in the interior and are proving popular with the birds despite the constant rumble of heavy machinery along a two lane raised earth construction highway to the north.
