Greyfriar's Lane, 1971
The timber framed building is the 16th century grade I listed Ford's Hospital, damaged during WWII and rebuilt in the early 1950s.

The double pitched roof-line visible beyond the hospital belonged to the former Royal Mail sorting office, since demolished.

Opposite the top of the lane, at its junction with High Street, can be seen the Martins Bank building, later demolished to make way for the Cathedral Lanes development.
