Royal Buildings, Victoria Street, Derby
Royal Buildings, Victoria Street, Derby
A distinguished group of early C19th public buildings, designed by Robert Wallace who won an architectural competition in 1837 (which also included SK3536 : 20-21 Cornmarket, Derby). Originally the Royal Hotel and Athenaeum. Grade II listed.
Now clearly of diminished status, a few shops, but largely unutilised.
