Turbine at Sturminster Newton Mill
Turbine at Sturminster Newton Mill
The mill was converted from a pair of undershot water wheels to a single turbine in 1904. Turbines are generally far more efficient than waterwheels with undershot wheels the least efficient. Unfortunately they are also the least photogenic.
