Cliffs at Tilly Whim Caves
Cliffs at Tilly Whim Caves
From a distance these cliffs look like a uniform mass of limestone, but closer to you can see the different qualities of the various bands in the formation.
Some massive and solid, others fractured and fissured, these differences were well understood by the quarrymen who tunnelled underground forming the Tilly Whim Caves to get the best stone.
