Rocks at Apes Tor
Rocks at Apes Tor
This cliff is on the southern side of the valley of the River Manifold due east of the village of Warslow. These layers of limestone, originally horizontal, are
now folded into anticlines and synclines, which trend
(run) in a north-south direction. The rocks were
broken by a series of faults running in two major
directions: NE to SW, and NNW to SSE
